Who provides this app
Sleep Coach is provided by Adam Richard Turner, an individual sole trader based in the United Kingdom. Adam Richard Turner is not a medical doctor, is not a registered healthcare professional, and is not acting as a clinician, therapist or counsellor. Nothing in the App or on this website is a professional medical, psychiatric or psychological opinion.
What this app is
Sleep Coach is a general wellness and educational product. It helps you keep a sleep diary, keep a consistent wake time and sleep window, and read short notes about common behavioural sleep habits.
Some content is inspired by publicly available cognitive behavioural ideas for insomnia (often called CBT-I). That does not make the App cognitive behavioural therapy, a digital therapeutic, a treatment programme, or a substitute for care from the NHS or a qualified clinician. The App is not endorsed by the NHS, NICE or any clinical body.
What this app is not
Sleep Coach does not diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, mitigate or manage any disease, disorder or medical condition — including insomnia, sleep apnoea, anxiety, depression or any other sleep or mental health disorder.
The App is not a medical device under the UK Medical Devices Regulations 2002, the EU Medical Device Regulation (2017/745) or US FDA rules, and it is not intended for clinical decision-making.
- It does not prescribe, recommend or change medication.
- It does not replace your GP, a sleep clinic, a mental health service or emergency care.
- Sleep stages, efficiency and verdicts are estimates from consumer devices and your own entries, not clinical measurements.
- Chat replies and Sleep review are generated by software, not by a clinician.
Who should speak to a clinician first
Behavioural sleep techniques such as limiting time in bed are not suitable for everyone. Speak with your GP or another qualified clinician before using the sleep window feature if you:
- are pregnant or breastfeeding;
- have epilepsy, bipolar disorder, or a history of seizures or mania;
- have, or think you may have, sleep apnoea, restless legs, narcolepsy or another sleep disorder;
- drive, operate machinery, or do safety-critical or shift work;
- have a physical or mental health condition that affects your sleep, or take medication that does;
- are under 18 (the App is not for under-18s).
Sleepiness, driving and safety
Tightening time in bed can make some people sleepier during the day, especially at first. If you feel sleepy, do not drive, cycle or operate machinery. Pause or widen your window if daytime sleepiness becomes unsafe.
Talk to your GP if sleep problems are severe, sudden or getting worse; if you snore loudly, stop breathing or gasp at night; if you fall asleep without warning or have fallen asleep while driving; or before you change any prescribed medicine.
In an emergency
Sleep Coach is not a crisis service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999 (UK) or your local emergency number. For urgent medical advice in the UK call 111. If you are having thoughts of harming yourself, contact emergency services, or call Samaritans free on 116 123, any time.
AI-generated content
Chat and Sleep review use generative artificial intelligence. Replies can be incomplete, outdated or wrong, and are not checked by a person before you see them. Treat every reply as a general suggestion about habits, not personalised medical advice. See the AI Transparency notice.
Your responsibility
You decide what, if anything, to try. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read in the App or on this website.
